Why do things like this always seem to happen to me? All I wanted to do was learn, was that so wrong? Why should I be punished for my curiosity? All I wanted to do was observe how a varsha mother raised her cubs. The two-tailed feline creatures were so rare to find anywhere else in the country, how could I pass up the opportunity to follow one to her cave? I had finally tracked the mother and her cubs back to their home, but I guess I had gotten a little too close because the alpha male who was roughly the size of a large dog noticed me and decided that I would be a rather tasty meal. So here I was, being chased aimlessly through t
Everything was quiet.
I watched silently as a large buck wandered into the clearing. My body tensed as it walked closer to my hiding spot. I stared at my prey, my eyes focusing on its head and heart. I ease forward, causing the leaves that concealed me to rustle quietly, alerting my prey. The buck stopped grazing and quickly looked around, fearing another predator. After a while, it started grazing again. Now was my chance. My muscles twitched and a near silent growl escaped my throat. Now or never.
I let the arrow fly, watching as it sunk deep into its heart. The buck let out a strangled cry before falling to t
People are monsters. Although you can’t just look around and see them, they are the monsters that walk among us as normally as you or I. They walk on two feet, make friendly conversation and smile like everyone else. These monsters seem so kind on the surface; maybe they give some money to the beggar on the street corner, or maybe give some extra blankets to the widowed mother of three, lend her an ear about how she lost her husband in a raid. However nice they seem, something darker brews beneath that sweet smile. Behind closed doors they laugh at the misfortune of others, sneering behind turned backs. This is none more appar
“BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!”
Ugh. I don’t want to get up yet.
I screwed my eyes shut, vainly hoping that my alarm would be nice to me and just die. That, of course, didn’t happen. I huffed and reluctantly rolled over and felt around for my alarm clock. My fingertips brushed against the cool metal of my clock before I slammed my hand down on top of it, successfully silencing the annoying thing. I let out a sigh of relief and snuggled deep into the blankets. Just as I was about to drift off back to sweet, sweet sleep, a certain someone just had to ruin it.

What it Means to be Human - Prologue
“What am I doing?” I think to myself. “Why do I continue forward? My only way home is destroyed, and even if it wasn’t, there probably won’t be any home left to return to. I know this as fact, so then why does my body propel itself forward?” I stop walking as my body violently shook, shaking off some of the droplets of liquid off. I tried rubbing my arms again. It seems to help, but only very slightly. I lifted my hazy gaze forward and sighed deeply, watching it condensate in the air before fading away.
“Cold. Why do I feel so cold?” I don’t think I’ve ever felt

My Real Life Scary Stories
Hi guys! It’s me, the Author!

Little Bit of Magic - Prologue
When you think back to your childhood, what do you remember? Did you used to pretend you were a doctor, saving the lives of your stuffed animals? Did you run around playing tag or pretend there was a monster after you? Did you pretend to be royalty or a white knight on your way to save the princess? When did we stop believing in magic?
Maybe we decided we were too grown up to keep believing in things like dragons and Santa Clause. After all, all children want now is to be treated like they’re already grown up, and to do that, we leave all the fun and magical fantasies of childhood behind. All children grow up eventu
